About Us
Since 1975, Oakmont Industries has been supplying wood, steel and glass doors, specialties and professional hardware to multi-family residential and mixed-use projects in BC, Alberta and along the West Coast of the United States. Our vast experience supplying thousands of projects of all different sizes, geographies and complexity gives our customers the piece of mind that Oakmont’s scope of work will be executed to the highest standard.
Oakmont prides itself on the quality and reputation of our customer base, as well as the duration of the relationships we enjoy with them. We measure our success solely by our ability to continually earn our customers trust by supplying their projects year after year.
Oakmont operates out of a purpose built 48,000 sq. ft. facility in Port Kells, Surrey. It houses our wood shop, steel welding shop and glass shop. Oakmont carries substantial on-hand inventory for all three shops at all times.
What Makes Us Unique
Each customer’s project has a single point of contact at Oakmont from the quoting process right through to when the last product is shipped to site and the building is complete. This continuity allows Oakmont’s Project Managers to become intimately familiar with the unique aspects of every project and gives our customers peace of mind that they know exactly who to call to get the answer they are looking for.
Our philosophy is that if we are to supply a quality product on time to our customers, then we need to control as much of the process as possible.
Oakmont buys raw materials from reputable manufacturers; assembles the finished product in our own wood, steel and glass shops, with our own people and equipment and delivers to site on our own fleet of trucks. This control reduces problems on your jobsite and allows for an extremely rapid response in the event a problem does arise.
Oakmont is focused only on supplying multi-family residential and mixed-use projects that have a residential component. This focus, combined with decades of experience, allows our Project Managers to know how a building is built and how our scope fits into that schedule. Our Project Managers are always anticipating what will be needed 6 to 12 weeks ahead of time to ensure the site has what is needed, when its needed.
